Last week was again a busy week. I notice that I want too much with my blog and too much at the same time. Sometimes that freezes me. At moments like that I don't know what to focus on, because I want to grow and I want to optimize my website and I would like to earn a bit of money with it. Then I get a black-out and it doesn't really work out. That is exactly what happened last weekend. I had a lot of things I wanted to do, but honestly I did not do as much as I wanted to. And that doesn't feel right, while sometimes it is good to do nothing or take a bit of rest. Then I try to find back my holiday feeling and try to enjoy the little things.
Last Friday I had one of those 'enjoy moments'. I took a day off of my job, because I was invited by Simon Lévelt for a tour through their coffee factory in Haarlem. I really enjoyed that, it was so much fun, as you can tell by my face :-). Afterward I chose for myself (and you) by taking a lovely lunch in Haarlem. I visited a very healthy hotspot and enjoyed the lunch. Later you will learn more about the tour at Simon Lévelt and about the awesome hotspot I visited in Haarlem.
Yesterday was also a day to enjoy (besides the fact I did less work than I wanted to). I had a date with an old colleague of mine and we had so much fun! Always nice to get other points of view and have nice chat while enjoying a (healthy) piece of cake and a fresh cup of tea. I will also soon write a blog about this healthy hotspot, which you can find in Bergen op Zoom on a very special location.
So I have really tried to enjoy the small things and not always feel the pressure that I have to write and have to perform. I sometimes put that pressure on me and actually that doesn't work at all for me and eventually I end up doing a lot less work than when there is no pressure. So that are some wise words for myself haha. Today after working out I made a delicious, refreshing, lactose free and organic smoothie.
Al met al heb ik dus echt mijn best gedaan om van de kleinere dingen te genieten en niet altijd die druk te voelen dat ik moét schrijven en moét presteren. Die druk leg ik mezelf nog weleens op en dat werkt bij mij juist averechts, dan doe ik uiteindelijk veel minder dan wanneer ik geen druk voel. Een wijze les voor mezelf dus haha. Vandaag maakte ik na het sporten een lekkere verfrissende, lactosevrij én biologische smoothie.
