I wanted to make a smoothie bowl with spinach. So I took spinach from the store. They only had big bags of spinach and no small ones. That is why I had to improvise with the spinach. I wanted to make a green smoothie with spinach. Sometimes I find it hard to figure the other ingredients, because I don't really appreciate the taste of the spinach on itself. That is why I chose green tea. I made that combination before in a smoothie with kiwi, spinach and green tea. That combination was really nice, so that is why I tried it again. I like a bit of sweetness in a smoothie that is why I choose white grapes and a drop of honey. You always read about the fact that avocados are so healthy, but I rarely eat it. I think there is not much taste to is and I don't really like to eat it just like that. Then I thought, if there is not much taste to it, I might as well add it to this smoothie.
The last time I made the mistake to add the warm green tea to the smoothie. I had not enough patience to let the tea cool down. Then we had a warm smoothie which I would not recommend. That is why I made the green tea with a bit of hot water and the rest cold water, because I am not patient haha. Of course you can also make the tea, let it cool down and then make your smoothie.
