Breakfast crumble with blackberry
"Grab a hand of dough and crumble on top of the fruit."
Breakfast crumble with blackberry, this gluten free crumble with fresh fruit is very easy to make.
Crumble, I love it, warm fresh fruit and crumbled dough. This winter I made a lot of it, but after a while of not making crumble, 2 weeks ago the moment was there again. I had quite some nectarines and blackberries and decided to go for it.
As you might have read in an earlier blog, I started with intermittent fasting for 2 days per week. Which means you don't eat breakfast and start eating at around 12, ideally you also workout before having your first meal. If your stomach is empty for 8 hours that is when the fat burning starts, if you eat again before that moment has arrived there is no (or less) fat burned. By giving your body the time to burn that fat and workout to burn fat, you will get rid of that layer of fat more easily. It is important to drink enough water and that your first meal is a good one with enough proteins, fibers and fats.
Also two weeks ago on a Saturday, I felt good and slept until 9 and started a tough workout. 3 sessions with a total of 36 burpees (!) and a lot more tough exercises, but it felt good and I was not hungry. So at around 12 I made this crumble and when I started eating I noticed how hungry I was. So much that I had another plate, I ate this crumble with coconut yogurt and a boiled egg. But when I finished my second plate, my coffee and my egg I was super full. I had pain in my stomach for half of the afternoon because I ate that much and that is not what you should do with intermittent fasting haha. You can read that I am still looking for the right balance, but it is getting better.
And the best part is that my belly is getting more and more tight.
