Cherry pie with spelt. This healthy cherry crumble pie has no refined sugars added which makes it a perfect healthy snack.
Summer makes me so happy because of all the fruit that is available. Such a pity you have to miss all that in the winter. For sure the smoothies become more boring in the winter, because there is not much available besides apples and bananas. That is why I love the summer. Last week I was with the farm store and I bought a lot of cherries with the goal to make a cherry pie. You have to know that I have never ever made a cherry pie before and actually only apple pie, so how do you start?
I did some research and my inspiration for this recipe came from the blog 'Uit Paulines Keuken'. I made her recipe into my own and this is the result. When I let my boyfriend taste, the first thing he said was: 'You should sell this pie'. That is a very lovely compliment, some appreciation for what you do, is always nice. And it does not even really matter who says it. And believe me that my boyfriend also tells me when he does not like a recipe, because that has also happened to us before haha.
