Food Diary - Breakfast in March

Food Diary, breakfast in March. The month March started not as good as I wanted to. The week before was my birthday and I had ate quite unhealthy that week, unfortunately I notice that right away. I got a small wound in my mouth next to my canine tooth at the top of my mouth. First it was just irritating, but it became worse and it started throbbing and it also started bleeding. That was not good at all and the result was I could not eat at that side of my mouth. Or actually eat at all, because all the food will touch it somehow, you then notice how much you eat on a day haha, very irritating when you can't or just can't enjoy it.
Luckily I know somebody who knows a lot about natural cures and after a few days I was cured, but until that moment my breakfast usually was this pink kick start by Rens Kroes. This is one of my favorite breakfasts and Jens also loves it very much. He usually asks me to make it when the alarm rings haha, a real favorite you could say. And of course this breakfast is combined with my oat milk latte and a boiled egg. At the left you see a glass of water with magnesium, I take that every morning. A lot of people have a magnesium deficiency and I notice a very positive effect on my energy level since I take it everyday, so I will continue taking this every morning.
In March it snowed from time to time and when it is that cold, I prefer a warm breakfast. Not in the first place because I walk Leyla before having breakfast. It it so nice to warm myself with a nice warm breakfast. I prefer to do that with this porridge with apple and cinnamon. First I used to take only magnesium with water, but now I also take spirulina in the morning. Spirulina is super healthy and has a detoxing effect. But I do have to admit is tastes really disgusting haha. So I usually take some fruit juice and put that in the blender with the magnesium and spirulina and drink it. It tastes like fruit juice and the flavor of the spirulina is not dominating. If you want to drink spirulina yourself as well in the morning, make sure you drink at least 2 liters of water during the day, so your body can remove all those toxins.
Last weekend was Easter and of course there had to be a nice Easter recipe online. That is why I made these lovely brunch sandwiches the week before. They are of course lovely to bake every other (weekend) day as well. The left one is with melted cheese on top and a slice of cheese. The other one is with sunflower seeds en peanut butter.
At last I copied a recipe which I ate at the Health Fair. Spelt Pancakes with yogurt and granola, what a lovely combination. And it is also very filling. I made these pancakes on a Sunday morning and they turned out perfect, so the recipe will be online soon.
It was a varied breakfast month this month with a lot of nice and new recipes. I hope this will give you some new inspiration to make your own breakfast party. Because for me breakfast really is a party everyday.
