Food Diary - Snacks in January

Food Diary: Snacks in January. January is the month in which everybody wants to eat more healthy. I did not eat too much in the crazy December month, but I did notice I ate not enough fruit. That is why I made a wish to eat 2 pieces of fruit everyday during January. Are you curious to see if this worked out for me?
I started this month very healthy with for example this smoothie, but I made some more smoothies which I also took to the office. That was a good start! Also I took a piece of fruit with me to the office when I had not made a smoothie, usually an apple or a banana. But as the month continued I noticed that I wasn't that alert anymore. I did not make it to the goal of 2 pieces of fruit per day. I did eat a lot of other healthy snacks. Like this honey waffle from Terra Sana, a healthy alternative for the treacle-waffle. At one moment you really taste the honey and on the other moment it tastes like treacle-waffle. The perfect combination if you ask me.
I also baked a lot in the weekends of January. And if you bake, there needs to be tasting as well haha. So in the weekends I ate the things I baked. I did notice that when I am not baking in the weekend I also do not eat any snacks, isn't that funny? I made these 2 kinds of cookies with chocolate and nuts. The one with the nuts I ate with a big clot of nut butter.
At last one of my new favorites are these date balls by Rens Kroes. They are absolutely delicious and even better with a bit of cocoa powder. They also give you a nice energy boost.
I hope you liked to read this food diary and of course that you get some inspiration from it. I always try to vary as much as possible with snacks. There are so many delicious snacks that I want to enjoy all of them haha. But besides that is also more healthy to vary a bit.
