Gingerbread with almond paste
"I love almond paste a lot so that was quite a big layer."
Sinterklaas recipe - Gingerbread with almond paste. A healthy variant and just as delicious or maybe even more delicious than the original version.
The time of Sinterklaas is coming again and these weeks are on the blog also filled with a lot of Sinterklaas recipes. The well-known Sinterklaas treats, but more healthy. I always find that very challenging and so excited when it turns out to be this good!
Almond paste is one of my favorites since my child hood and honestly the only reason I ever ate Christmas stollen. I took the paste out of the bread and covered the complete slice with it, I liked it that much. When my mum bought us gingerbread with almond paste I was just so happy haha. So the choice was very easy that I just wanted to make this. I was looking forward to it all week to try it this weekend. It was the first time and it turned out to be super good. Honestly I did a dance in the kitchen when I tasted the flavor, super delicious. That is why I couldn't wait to share it with you!
