"It doesn't matter that it is not completely straight, there will be separate chunks anyway."
Sinterklaas recipe, gingerbread chunks. A super easy recipe and the perfect replacement for the stores version.

The last recipe for Sinterklaas is ready for you. I also wanted to share a gingerbread pie with marzipan. It looked super beautiful, but didn't taste good at all. The pie was dry and tough, too bad but I will work on it next year.
Tomorrow is official 'gift night', although we already celebrated it Saturday night. Every year we do this with my parents, sister, uncle, aunt and nieces very nice. We don't like to do surprises at all. When you do that everybody has to make something for somebody which relates to that person and the gift must be packed in the thing you have made. So for example if somebody plays soccer you can make a ball and the gift is inside. But none of us is very creative, so everybody just buys gifts for everybody and our parents buy a bit more for us. And what I also like very much is the poems. We try to remember as much as possible from what happened last year and put that in a poem in a funny way. For example I wrote something about the traffic fines that Jens got this year. And if you do that with a wink it is all possible. Everybody really enjoyed the night and the gifts by the way so it was a nice evening. If you are going to celebrate this night, you can put these gingerbread chunk on the table.
