It is already months ago that Jens went away on Sunday to play a soccer match and I had pancake cravings. I wanted to make my favorite spelt pancakes, but I missed some ingredients, so I made combination of the spelt pancakes and the oatmeal pancakes. I love peanut butter and chocolate, so I decided to mix some peanut butter through it and added some pieces of chocolate. I baked the pancakes and enjoyed them. These pancakes were the best ever.
The peanut butter gives such a nice taste to the pancakes, even though I noticed quickly I did not mix the peanut butter very properly, at times I had a mouth full of peanut butter while at other times I had no peanut butter at all. I send Jens a text right away that these pancakes were the best and of course I wanted to share this recipe with you!
But here is the situation, since I mixed 2 recipes and of course did not write down at all what I did exactly I did not know how I made these pancakes. I tried to figure out what the recipe was and tried to make them again. But they never became as good as the first time, I felt so bad that I decided to give up. Until after a few months I wanted to try again and you can read the end result today. I did manage to do it and they are definitely just as lovely as the first time! Are you going to surprise somebody with these pancakes this weekend?
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Baking time: Approximately 4 minutes per pancake
Amount: 7 pancakes
When the pancakes are finished, you can decorate them with some extra dark chocolate and/or nut butter like I did. If you don't want that you can now enjoy these healthy pancakes!
