Raspberry kiwi smoothie, a summery smoothie with a lot of fresh sweet fruit.
Melon really reminds me of the time when I was younger and the weather was good, my mum used to buy melon then. And on Sunday afternoon at around 3 o'clock we started to have a drink with snacks and she would cut the melon with a bit of raw ham. I just enjoyed that so much specially combined with all the other food haha. Since Jens and I live together we don't really do this anymore. The weather is perfect to do so, because don't you love this weather?!
I am always complaining during the winter that it is super cold, because I am always cold. And because I already complain during the winter I can't complain in the summer so you won't ever hear me complaining during the summer that it is (too) hot. I enjoy this weather intensely and also the fact this weather has been going on so long already. I have said sometimes that I might want to emigrate to a country where the weather is always good, because I don't like the seasons at all. But when the weather is this good in the Netherlands it really gives me holiday feelings and I don't even have to emigrate. For 2 weeks already I am only wearing dresses and I love it so much, sitting outside in the evenings, walking Leyla very early in the morning on my flip fops. This Friday I had a day off, every other week I have the Friday off and that is amazing, a perfect choice. And my grandma has such a beautiful garden, so I decided this Friday morning to have a coffee at her place. Honestly I think I don't see her enough, but that is mostly my own fault and I thought it was time to change this last week.
We sat on a very lovely spot in that beautiful garden, enjoyed the birds and talked a lot. Even though my grandma is 85 years already, she is really fit and she even went to the store to get something to have with the tea. A very fresh (not so healthy) cake with orange. In the afternoon my grandma went to her friends to play bridge, but before that we had lunch. With fresh baked sandwiches and peanut butter it doesn't get any better if you ask me haha. A lovely morning together. The rest of the weekend will be very relaxed for me and enjoying the sun a lot.
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Blend time: 3 minutes
Amount: 2 smoothies
Blend the ingredients for approximately 3 minutes until it has become a smoothie. You can now enjoy this delicious, sweet and healthy smoothie!
