Spinach smoothie with strawberries. A very refreshing and sweet smoothie because of the combination with the Greek Yogurt and the fresh fruit.
I just love this long weekens so much. Every time I enjoy long weekends so much by doing as much things as I can and just relax. Friday I already wrote that that would be the plan and that I would go to yoga. But plans changed a bit. Thursday night I suddenly had the idea of going for a run on Friday and that seemed to be a good idea. The weather was supposed to be good and it would take me less time than going to the gym. But it was a year ago since I went and I know myself a bit. So I decided to go for it straight after I got out of bed so there was no time for any excuses to be made up.
And I have to admit that that went quite well. At 7.45 AM I already had done my round, I just love to go that early, it is still quiet and you can enjoy the environment. Although I didn't get to the enjoying part haha. Like I said it had been a while since I went and I noticed that and I also find it very difficult to start of slow. So usually I have some music on and I just start running and I am like wow this is going great and after 5 minutes I am out of breath haha. That also happened Friday morning, so I slowed down a bit and even walked small parts. But eventually I did run 2,2 kilometers with an average pace of 8 kilometers per hour. Not bad for the first time since a year if you ask me. And the big advantage of running that early is that you are fit for he rest of the day and don't have a lazy day. After running I went for a shower, groceries and had breakfast of course. At the store I got a nice magazine about living in the countryside and in that magazine was an article about the picking garden in our village. Honestly I already have the idea for 2 years (since we live here) to go there once and it never happened. So it had to be now, so I made a smoothie which I drank in the sun and went to the picking garden.
And because it is close by, I was already in the sportive mode and the sun was shining, I decided to go walking to it. So I already had achieved my (self made goal of) 5000 steps quite early that day. And I should have gone to the picking garden way sooner, because I very much enjoyed it. I will soon write a blog about it if you like to read it of course.
And like I said, I made a smoothie which was very tasty and refreshing. And I will share that recipe with you today on this Smoothie Sunday.
