Strawberry smoothie bowl, this super healthy breakfast is perfect to make the night before or eat on the go if you really don't have much time.
With this nice weather a smoothie bowl really is a delicious breakfast. It is very quick to make, but it also gives you a part of your vitamins already at the start of the day, love it! I notice that lately I want to eat with more variation. Mostly for lunch I try to make a combination with vegetables and I like it. This week I made a wrap with spinach, mango, goat cheese and cashews. The other day I made a salad with spinach, nuts, strawberries and a boiled egg. I do have to make some time for it in the morning or the evening before, but I am so happy with that in the afternoont. I just notice I am more fit and have more energy.
I am living more healthy in general. I used to eat healthy, but I didn't move very much. I went to the gym once a week, but if I had to work on Friday or planned something else on Saturday or just couldn't leave my bed, I didn't work out for a week. I just notices that does't feel good and I am not completely happy with my body as well at the moment. 2 years ago just before Jens and I moved in together, I was in a perfect flow when it comes to working out. Every evening after dinner I did a workout of 15-30 minutes. The exact length varied per day, but I made my own schedules and was very enthusiastic about it. When we went to move in together and worked a lot on the house, the working out became less and less important and honestly I prefer to get behind my laptop at night rather than doing a workout. But I decided I wanted to change that.
So this week I made some goals for myself, or actually last week, but I only followed up on them once that week haha. So I started again this week. The first goal is taking 5000 steps per day. I hear people say a lot that 10000 steps per day is good for you, but I sit a lot at my job, so that is not very realistic. So first I want to get the 5000 every day and I have to say I am doing quite a good job. Tuesday in my lunch break I went shopping (which give you a lot of steps haha) and at night I walked Leyla which resulted in 6600 steps! I notice that to get to my amount of steps beside the walk with Leyla I have to walk at least 30 minutes to get to the 5000. But it really is a challenge to make it to the 5000 every day.
To also get into the workout mode, I set small goals for myself. I know that when I say I have to do 10 excercises everyday, I will find excuses to don't do it. So we start small and when it is going better I will slowly do more. So besides that 5000 steps everyday I have to do 20 crunches, 20 squats and 30 seconds planking for 4 days per week. Besides that I want 1 day per week to do a bigger workout in the gym or a home workout via Youtube. I hope to feel more comfortable in my skin by doing so. I feel very good by the way, but that small belly fat is bothering me a bit haha. And because I soon will be in Spain I want to be more fit. Surely when you eat this healthy, I just don't like that it doesn't always show. I will keep you posted on the progress.
