Healthy Dutch butter cake
"Naturally the batter is a bit sticky."
Healthy Dutch butter cake, this butter cake fits perfectly in a healthy lifestyle and tastes just as good as the unhealthy butter cake. In the blog you can read why dairy butter is healthy for you.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Baking time: 25 minutes
Amount: 10-15 slices
Special Products:
- Spingform (25cm)
- Baking paper
- Mixer
Once the butter has become a smooth mixture, you can add the spelt flour with the honey, vanilla pod and 1 egg. Mix until it becomes a smoth batter. Naturally the mixture is a bit sticky. Cover the springform with a baking paper and divide the mixture over the paper and the form. This is not going very easy, because the mixture is that sticky. |
The best thing you can do, is use the back of the spoon, make it wet and use that to divide the batter. If the mixture again sticks to the spoon, wet the spoon again, continue doing so until all the batter is divided in the form. You can make a pattern you like in the butter cake yourself. Whisk the other egg in a small bowl and cover the butter cake with it. Bake the cake for approximately 25 minutes in a preheated oven. Pay attention that the baking time may differ per oven. |
You can now enjoy this healthy, crunch Dutch butter cake.
